Last week was an incredibly busy and entertaining week. We had families visiting, a safari, projects with BCC (including making Melissa’s parents help us cut pictures for the PECS communication program), visiting day centers, dinner with friends, and many other events to fill our week. It was a blast!
Melissa’s parents were visiting so we went on safari. It was an amazing experience again. We went to the Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire National Park. We saw so many animals and had another wonderful time. It is hard to not enjoy ourselves when we are with family and viewing such breathtaking environment all around us. We included some pictures from our safari in this post.
Below is a photo of a 2-3 day old elephant. It was adorable!
On our way to Ngorongoro Crater the second day of safari, we found baboons in the road! You can see one in the front that didn’t seem to care that a big safari car was quickly approaching.
The last time we were at the crater it was dry and brown. This time, everything was green! It was beautiful. Melissa’s parents are in the photo with us!
Below is a photo of a Masai village just outside of the crater. The crater is a conservation area so Masai individuals are allowed to live on the land, but they must follow their traditions and keep their housing simple.
We saw a lake full of flamingos on the crater!
